WFC 2025

Abstract

Abstract submission

Submit your abstract and be a part of the congress with the possibility to present live at the congress.

The 2025 WFC Biennial Congress takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark May 7-10, 2025, at the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center.

All presenters will be required to attend in-person to make their Oral or Poster Presentations.

  • Abstracts for the WFC25CPH must be submitted online via the abstract submission site. Emails and word processing files submitted outside the abstract submission site will not be accepted.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit; however, an author may only serve as the presenting author on two submissions.
  • The abstract may not include refences, figures or tables (only text)
  • Ethics approval for the work was obtained or was exempted (proof of this must be provided to the abstract committee upon request), or ethics review not needed (e.g., systematic reviews).
  • It is the author’s responsibility to designate a new presenter for presentation in the event of any conflicts.
  • If accepted, the presenter must be a co-author listed on the abstract at the time of submission.
  • Abstracts must have a complete status by the abstract deadline, or the abstract will not be considered for the WFC25CPH Extensions will not be granted.
  • Full papers may not have been published prior to May 1, 2024 (but may have been presented at another conference).

Abstracts are limited to 250 words.

Abstracts should be submitted using the abstract template. The abstract template can be downloaded within the submission system. Below, you can see what the template requires you to include in your abstract and its structure.

Abstracts should be structured and organized as Introduction & Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusion.

  • Introduction & Aim: The abstract should begin with a sentence or two explaining the clinical (or other) importance of the study question. This section should also state the precise aim or study question addressed in the project.
  • Methods: Methods should be concise and include the epidemiological design, patient selection (key inclusion/exclusion criteria), description of independent and dependent variables, and most important statistical tests.
  • Results: This section should describe baseline characteristics of participants followed by primary and secondary outcomes. Report estimates of associations including appropriate measures of variability and uncertainty (e.g., odds ratios with confidence intervals).
  • Conclusion: This section should provide only findings of the study directly supported by the results. Authors may state its clinical or future research implications. Please avoid speculation and over-generalization. Give equal emphasis to positive and negative findings of equal scientific merit.
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Do not enter author information into the abstract body. Doing so negates a blind review.
  • Do not include the abstract title, references, or grant support in the abstract body.
  • Standard abbreviations may be used without definition. Nonstandard abbreviations must be placed in parentheses after the first use of the abbreviation.
  • When submitting your abstract, the WFC and the Chiropractic Knowledge Hub recommend using language that is neutral, nonjudgmental, and free from stigma.
  • Proofread abstracts carefully to avoid errors. Modifications will not be allowed after the submission deadline.
  • Note: The Abstract Committee may modify the format to fit the look and feel of the media on which it is displayed or distributed.

All abstracts successfully submitted are peer-reviewed through a blind review process.

Originality of work, adequacy of data, and clarity of exposition are the determinants in the selection of abstracts. An abstract that does not present the results of the study will not be accepted.

The final decision with respect to selection and programming of any abstract will be made by the abstract committee.

Abstracts may be selected for oral presentation, poster presentation, or not selected. All selected abstracts will be published in the book of proceedings.

Abstract acceptance status will be sent via email to the designated presenting author.

  • Submission of an abstract grants the WFC25CPH congress the right to publish the abstract on the congress website wfc25cph.org. All abstracts accepted for the WFC25CPH congress will be published on May 10, 2025, unless withdrawn by the withdrawal deadline.
  • Abstracts may be revised online until January 6, 2025. Modifications will not be allowed after the submission deadline.
  • Abstracts must be withdrawn no later than April 1, 2025, or they will be published on May 10, 2025. To withdraw an abstract, the presenting author must inform the Congress Secretariat via email info@cap-partner.eu before the withdrawal deadline.
  • Presenting authors will not be allowed to reschedule their presentation time(s).
  • Oral Presentation: Oral presentations are 15 minutes in length. Those selected for an oral presentation will receive their presentation details (date/time) in advance.
  • Poster Presentation: All Posters must be displayed for all three days (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) in the Poster Area. The presenting author must be available on his/her Poster session to answer questions from attendees. Those accepted for a poster presentation will receive their presentation details (date/time/place) in advance.
  • The Poster Area will be open all three days. Presenters will have the opportunity to post their posters during the Wednesday before the congress.

Abstract presenters will be required to attend WFC25CPH congress in-person to make their presentation.

Expenses associated with an abstract presentation (e.g., travel, hotel, congress registration fees, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the presenting author. Presenters must register for the meeting in the appropriate category (Industry, Delegates, Student).
